New Vision Charter School Counselors:
How does my student access the counselor?
1. Self-referral- At any time a student may ask their teacher to see the counselor. The counselor will be notified of this request and meet with the student as soon as their schedule allows. If it is an emergency the student will get support ASAP.
2. Parent/Guardian referral - Please reach out at any time if you feel your student may need some extra support.
3. Teacher referral- Sometimes teachers see that students are having a tough day emotionally or need some help problem solving ; they may ask the counselor to check in with the student.
